Billy Crystal talks quite a bit and gives some funny, interesting tidbits. DeNiro, on the other hand, is a man of extremely few words and rarely says a word. Plus, each of them are given separate commentary tracks, and they're edited together. Maybe it would've been slightly better if Crystal and DeNiro were giving the commentary together.

Near complete waste of time. They at least had the class not to cut DeNiro saying, "I was really expecting to be doing this with Billy, so I'm really disappointed." You and me both, Bob.

De Niro does very litte talking on this track, and when he does he seems bothered. He really shouldn’t do this kind of thing. Now Crystal should be just right for this, he is an entertainer, but he takes this movie way too seriously, and remains quiet for long patches of time. And they are not recorded together, which i think would spark a little more conversation. Boring. 3/10
Commentary 2: Director Harold Ramis Rating:7.8/10 (6 votes) [graph]Login to vote or review

Oh fuck off! Harold Raimis is a good director, but he should stick to what he is good at, and drop commentaries all together. He is quiet for a least half the movie, and when he is talking you are annoyed at him for being so bored and disengaged. You know how this track is going to go after just a couple of minutes, he has a boredom in his voice that you can feel is never going to go away. And why they felt the need to use two tracks for this movie is beyond me. You wouldn’t even come close to filling the running time by editing them together. You could have saved us from doing this twice, but even then it would be pretty lame. 2/10
