This is a great commentary and maybe the best reason for buying this DVD. It's interesting to hear what they were thinking when they decided to redo Psycho. Gus Van Sant obviously has the best insight, Vince Vaughn is also very vocal and reveals a lot more about his characters than what I got from watching the movie. Anne Heche turns out to be a total blonde, she just does not get it, and she tells us she hadn't even seen the original Psycho before this project! I still don't know if there is any use for this remake other than being a study of what happened if something like this is done. But thanks to this commentary I now understand a lot more about it. Overall, very informative and funny commentary, these three really talk a LOT on this one. I bet they discussed a lot during the project, but seems that they still find new convesations and opinions to share and explore.

I agree with everything Robanhood said, but I want to reiterate how useless Heche is on this track. She fails miserably in trying to match Van Sant’s artistic intelligence and Vaughn’s wit. It would’ve been nice if she stopped talking after the shower scene. But Van Sant does do a good job of trying to justify this seemingly pointless remake.
