Director Sherman, of "Poltergeist III" and "Raw Meat" fame, is joined by David Gregory of BLUE Underground for this very informative and entertaining track. Fans of this forgotten horror gem will not be disappointed. The films' troubled journey is detailed at length, as no less than 3 different distributers had there hands on 'Buried' during its' production. Gary Sherman desired a more darkly comic tone, while the producers favored "jump scares" and gore. Given the climate in the early '80s, when slashers were bringing in big box office, that's no surprise. There are some very inspired shots in "Dead & Buried," and Director Sherman walks fans and filmbuffs through each one. Great anecdotes about the contributions of Stan Winston and working with legend Jack Albertson on his final film. Overall, it's a wonderful track accompanying a great supernatural thriller from the era of AVCO Embassy, and genre horror. 9/10
