I am a little surprised that no one else has reviewed this before. But listening to it, I was a little disappointed. I imagined with Ben Kingsley on the track, this would be him loving to talk about a character he must have really loved to play. I think he actually did really relish playing such a bad guy, but both he and the director still do not seem as enthused on this track as I would have thought.

Most of the commentary is them talking about the acting, sometimes the backstory, and sometimes just the little moments of genius in the performances. It is educational in a few places, like how it was hinted at that the lead was in Spain because he took the fall for a job that netted him in prison for nine years and was allowed to retire with money he earned from it. And how Logan desperately wants acceptance and the love of a woman like Jackie, actually Jackie herself, and would erupt at times thinking about how he was not getting what he was sure he deserved.

One interesting bit was when Kingsley said he had never worked acting in the mirror before, and he was shocked to see the monster that he had created.

The most interesting surprise for me was when Kingsley says that not a single line, not even one extra YES or NO repeated, was not in the script. No ad libs is not how I would think that character could be created.
