This commentary is great. It has more quotable moments than any other commentary I've ever listened to. (example: when he talks about how All About Eve would have won about 19 Oscars if it had a big dyke scene) David Schmader manages to make a commentary that's all once informative, catty and hilarious. There are some dead spots. None of them longer than a couple minutes, but I do wish he'd kept it up a bit more.

"Showgirls is the most misunderstood work of art in the twentieth century", and "more than any other bad movie, or movie that is perceived as a bad movie, Showgirls triumphs in that every single person involved in the making of the film--from writers, actors, gaffers, every single one of them*--is making the worst possible decision at every possible time, and it is incredible density of failure that makes Showgirls sublime."

Wow! It only gets better. Despite the paucity of content, there cannot be a more worthy commentary for this magnificent cinematic achievement.

This is my favourite commentary of all time. Wish every film had a funny smart gay guy commentary track.
