Jones is on the track by telephone for what must have been the most boring 2 hours of his life as he has a few sentences to say during the movie. Other than that the director's comments are pretty interesting.

Ho-hum commentary with some interesting anecdotes sprinkled throughout.
If you want to hear Tommy Lee Jones don't bother with this since he doesn't contribute with much here.

Disappointing. Davis keeps the track lighthearted and superficial, lacking the comprehensive account fans of the movie would expect. A lot of (mostly uninteresting) trivia involving the filming in Chicago, a trademark of Davis. Tommy Lee Jones was probably as bored and laconic as he was on the commentary for Men in Black, so it seems they used here that awkward editorial gimmick of scattering random utterances of him all over the place to make it seem that he's recording the track with Davis.

This commentary is seriously underrated. I am guessing the reason it is so lowly rated it is because how little Tommy Lee Jones contributes. But the director does a great job of covering every angle of the production, non stop.
