In general, all of these tracks are spotty. It seems to have been a few years since they completed the show, so there is a fair amount of just watching and laughing. They do mention some of the changes made after the pilot. Leary wrote the episodes based on a real life police detective who appears in later episodes.

Another sporadic commentary. They talk about what was deleted from the episode and offer some shooting anecdotes. They note that there was balanced ethnicity in the cast because this was how the real life precinct upon which the show was based was comprised.

More of the same. This episode came about after the earlier Elizabeth Hurley episode, which was drawn from the experience of the real life detective who appears in this episode as Garrity. Leary points out an actor who also appear in Rescue Me.

Similar to the other tracks as far as dead air. They mention trying to avoid sitcom tropes and observe the running gag of Al not talking. Standards and Practices questioned some lines as too suggestive for network television.
Commentary 5: "Barbecue" -- Co-creators Denis Leary and Peter Tolan Rating: no votes yetLogin to vote or review

They observe that the cast was drinking actual alcohol while filming, and some members were becoming increasingly imbided. They point out some of the running themes and are pleased at how the stories come together in each episode.

Overall, the commentaries are not the most informative, but this was an excellent show that was canceled prematurely after 1.5 seasons.
