This track is done in the style of a Criterion commentary with several participants edited together to eliminate dead air and provide multiple viewpoints... only not as good. The problem with this track is that it is merely a collection on interviews, most of which we see on the featurettes on the second DVD. A screen-specific yak-track would have been nice. Having said that, Pileggi and Scorsese dominate (as they did on the GoodFellas commentary) and talk about the film’s themes in a very eloquent and engaging way.

The previous reviewer is right, in that it is what I called a complied commentary, with speaking points from interviews laid over appropriate parts of the film. It is not great, but even a little Scorsese is worth listening to.
