Michael Jeck is simply fascinating to listen to. He's full of that academic pomposity but that's what makes his commentary so great. He's a very lively and charismatic speaker and he provides some great info on how Kurosawa made the film.

Fantastic commentary. The same guy who did such a great job with Seven Samurai does just as good of a job with this slightly lesser known Kurosawa film.

He rapid fire throws at you interesting things to notice on screen, talks about the backstory, how the film was received, production notes, comments about acting, the differences between Macbeth and this film, points out unusually expensive shots, the danger taking place during the finale, and even a lot more.

This is well worth listening to after you have seen the film.
