Danny Boyle's first film, and he loves discussing how hard it was to get made. How they rehearsed, did the special sets, filmed things on the sly, etc.. The incredibly lucky casting choices (the two leads soon to be famous for Star Wars and Dr. Who were unknown, and the woman was how they sold it to the production company). He's proud of how the film was done for a million, and is proud that it is only 90 minutes, as he thinks lazier films end up being longer.
Criterion did an excellent job in getting a quality track out of a relatively unknown film.
