Kotcheff has such a mellifluous speaking manner that you'll listen to him no matter what he's talking about. Which is fortunate, because a lot of what he has to say really provides some insight into the working process behind this film. Editor Buckley is on hand to add contributions now and then and remind Kotcheff of an anecdote. A lot of the humour and interest of the track comes from Kotcheff's tales of working in an outback territory that is as foreign as any locale could be, despite being in an English-language country. By the end of the track you'll see how this film was a special experience for him (and the rest of the crew) and how happy he is to see its astonishing restoration work bring it back to life for new audiences.
