Ok. Be prepared for a rapid-fire, non-stop commentary w/ an Indian accent, that's unlike the film itself. Tarsem doesn't treat his film as seriously as it appears. He practically entertains himself on here by talking about the making of the film and laughs in doing so. He treated the film as an "Opera" and the violence and gore to him isn't serious at all. He's actually very scene-specific. Some quick references I spotted are Scorsese, Polanski, Tarkovsky, and an "Armenian film" which is undoubtedly Sergei Parajanov's "Sayat Nova". This is the sort of commentary that you will NO DOUBT have to rewind just to either: a) make out what he said or b) "Ok what is he talking about now?" He's so excited, and for the most of the commentary hard to follow because he's so fast and everything seems to mesh, so you'd be thinking he's still talking about the previous scene/topic, when he's already talking about something else. However, that said, he does talk about the film, he's full of energy. Just be prepared to strain your ears a bit.

7/10
