Altman and the producer are rather quiet throughout, somewhat amazed to be talking about the film thirty years later. The majority of the commentary is them talking about the production, and the difficulties making a film like this in the environment that they did. A bit of a chore to get through, with not too many interesting stories. They do acknowledge how many people started their careers with the film, and how the overlapping dialog was worrisome to the studios.
