Kleiser and Stewart kick off the track as a double act (with the former doing most of the talking) until Shields' character appears in the film, at which point the actress joins in and they become a trio - it's hard not to still hear the 'young' Shields just by the sound of her voice. As simple as the story and setting are, there's still a wealth of background trivia about the conditions and circumstances of making the film, and every aspect of the production (and the people responsible) is given its due - cinematographer Nestor Almendros is singled out for special praise. Given that this isn't exactly a literary masterpiece, the inclusion of writer Stewart on the track seems a bit redundant, though he does mention how he was criticised for some of his dialogue when the point of it was to keep it naive and simple. Kleiser notes that it wouldn't be possible to make a film like this any more given the changing restrictions and regulations with any actors under 16. Shields sets the record straight by saying that she wasn't as worldly or sophisticated as people seemed to think, that her mother was always at her side, and that any nudity was performed by a body double who was twice her age! A good track with no dead spots - it may even cause you to reappraise the film!

A pointless second audio track in which Kleiser repeats everything he said on the first track and Atkins only ever talks about about how much fun it was to make a movie for the first time and live on an island, repeatedly.

They talk about how Brooke and Chris shared a house together and wanted to kill each other.

They even talk about the second film and how Brooke met Milla Jovovich and said she didn't want to be the next Brooke. Douglas said he was asked to write the second film but turned it down. Rightly so.

Yeah, it sucks. The only bit I found funny was when Chris says "Is he a rightie or a leftie?"
